Feurer & Sohn GmbH traditional Brush Factory was established in 1898 in Bechhofen a city in Bavaria. The product range of the companie Feurer & Sohn GmbH - kolibri Brushes contains a wide range of the finest brushes for all techniques of painting.

Besides these standard lines (over 150) we produce all kinds of brushes on request. All our brushes - from standard lines to custom brushes - can be ordered in small packing units.

It isn't possible to grant quality and service without the help of our 20 high qualified workers. Some of them work at our company for 15 years already. Young people learn how to make brushes by hand at our company because we are sure that our clients expect quality from us in the future as well.

The Brush with green tip Since the beginning Kolibri ® Artists Brushes is using only quality materials, as for example the varnishes for the handles which meet the high European standards. The used hair is purified and disinfected in a professional manner. These high European norms avoid big product recalls which are happening more and more by low quality manufacturers As a German manufacturer we set a high value on ecological thinking. Therefor we replace step by step all our solvent-containing varnishes (used for coloring the handles) through water-based varnishes. In cooperation with a reputable varnish producer we developed this ecological process for varnishing our brush handles. This is a great step forward to protect our environment. At the same time these paints are completely harmless for the health of the users. That is why ask us for our brushes with green tip - especially for the kids!

Brushes for Air-brusher & Restorer Long-Liner made of very soft pure squirrel hair, sword- liner made of squirrel or synthetics, very small brushes with finest tips made of elastic red sable hair – those brushes are very important tools for restoring of old motor bikes or other old vehicles and those brushes are additional tools for different airbrush techniques.

Bristle Brushes Flat To complete our wide range of brushes for Oil we started to produce Fresco-Brushes traditional bounded and another line made with best silver ferrules. In all cases we use selected powerful double boiled white bristles. You can choose two different length of Bristles: S or SL. Please ask us for detailed lengths.
